High Voltage Favorites
Here’s a quick, easy way to enjoy something healthy to eat without compromising your health. Freeze some fresh fruits. Some of Energy Up!‘s favorites are: cherries, grapes, strawberries and bananas. High Voltage loves to put ripe bananas in her food processor for a few seconds, then spoon into a container before freezing them overnight. They taste just like ice cream!

I hope you are enjoying your summer vacation.
As you might have heard, with the money we have raised from Voltage’s Birthday wish on Facebook we are hosting an Energy Up summer camp. Fifteen Energy Up girls (current/alumni) from East Harlem and Mother Cabrini between the ages of 15-18 will be chosen to participate. If you are under 15 and have weight you can lose we can make an exception. It will be taking place August 8 -12th from 9-5pm. The week will be focused on weight lost, amazing Voltage approved foods, exciting and unique activities and an awesome day in the Hamptons. If you are interested in participating, please email me and remember to CC Voltage in the email.

During the summer try to eat only eat fruits and vegetables one or two days a week. Make sure to eat mostly green vegetables. High Voltage’s favorite summer vegetable is raw snap peas. They have a little natural sweetness that make them a great treat! You can also pick them up at many of the Farmer’s Markets around town. They’re cheaper there then they are at the grocery store.

Energy Up! G's Drink Water!
High Voltage would like to remind you to drink even more water over the summer. It’s important to stay hydrated especially in extreme heat. The easiest way to stay on your track with your water consumption is to carry a water bottle with you everywhere. High Voltage likes to put her water bottle (not bobble) in the freezer overnight. This way she has cold water to enjoy all day long. Try it!
